About

Software for the schools that shape people.

Shepherd is built by Simply Shepherd for ministry, Bible, discipleship, and gap-year schools โ€” the places doing quiet, formative work that rarely gets software built for it.

Most ministry schools run on a stack of spreadsheets, shared docs, a form builder, and a payment processor that don't talk to each other. It works, sort of, until the admissions cycle hits and someone spends a Saturday reconciling three systems by hand.

We started Shepherd because that shouldn't be the cost of running a small school well. Admissions, classes, attendance, and finances belong in one place, sharing one record per person โ€” an applicant who becomes a student who becomes an alum, without a single re-key or merge.

We're early and deliberately small, building alongside a handful of schools rather than chasing a logo wall. If something isn't there yet, we'll tell you plainly.

What we believe

Student data deserves real isolation

Every school's records live behind database-level row security, enabled from the first migration. Not an app-layer filter you have to trust โ€” a wall.

Money should always reconcile

Finances run on an append-only ledger. Nothing is edited in place; corrections are new offsetting entries. What the board sees matches what's in the system, to the cent.

People write the words that matter

Acceptance letters and family emails are written and sent by your staff โ€” never auto-generated. The moments that shape a person's year are not a job for a language model.

Plain and honest beats loud

Transparent pricing, real screenshots, no lead-magnet funnels. You can see the product and try it before you ever talk to us.
